About Maggie March, Psychotherapist
My work and focus
I am a fully qualified integrative, body-focused and EMDR psychotherapist with over 30 years’ experience working with people through change, loss and transition. Alongside my professional training, I bring a broad and grounded life experience to the therapeutic relationship we will build together.
My intention is to meet you where you are, in a collaborative and emotionally safe space, and support you in making sense of your inner and outer world. My work is particularly suited to people who are psychologically stable, curious, and ready to engage in reflective, depth-oriented therapy — those who feel called to live with greater authenticity, meaning and alignment.
Together, we may explore the parts of you that have been hidden, misunderstood or pushed aside, not to ‘fix’ you, but to help you live with more choice, wholeness and vitality.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in translation and later in HR and recruitment across both commercial and not-for-profit sectors. These experiences continue to inform my understanding of identity, work, relationships and the pressures of modern life.
Who I am
Clients often describe me as present, intuitive and open-hearted, while also practical, grounded and direct when needed. I value honesty, humour and curiosity, and I aim to create a space that feels both safe and real.
I remain committed to my own inner work and personal development, including embodied practices such as yoga, which support my capacity to stay centred and responsive in therapeutic work.
I am also the founder and director of Rooted in Grief, launching next spring, which brings together grief work, movement and nature-based practice in Hampshire and West Sussex.
My spiritual orientation
Spiritual inquiry has been an important part of my own life and informs my work in an integrated, grounded way. I am interested in the deeper questions of meaning, identity and true nature, and I support clients who are drawn to explore these themes alongside psychological healing.
While spirituality may form part of our work, therapy remains practical, relational and embodied - always guided by what is most supportive and appropriate for you.
My commitment to the next generation
My professional commitment to the field of psychotherapy extends to being a trained Supervisor. I have held a Diploma in Supervision for 27 years and offer individual and group supervision to psychotherapists, counsellors and coaches. For many years I worked as a trainer in the field of trauma and complex trauma. In addition, I mentor and offer coaching and development support to trainee counsellors and psychotherapists.
